1:25AM - I fail at life! aka. Arashi in Tokyo Dome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, today............................................................................

I SAW ARASHI IN TOKYO DOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *failure*

So, I had planned to go to the dome after school to pick up some goods that I didn't buy at Kokuritsu. (Nino's poster and the penlight). But I thought I would stop by Harajuku on the off chance that if there were any tickets left at the ticket shop, they might lower the prices at the last minute. I didn't get my hopes up because I figured it was a really big long shot. But when I got there there was a few tickets left. Of course they were still listed at really high prices. But I waited around with everyone else to see, and slowly but surely, the shop staff kept coming out and whiting-out the prices and writing lower ones. So I thought, if the price got down to about 15,000yen a ticket, I would buy it. Since that's only a little more than twice the regular price. But the prices didn't go down much and then people started leaving, and there was only me and 1 other girl left. And the last 2 tickets. They set the price down to 50,000yen for both of them. It was already 15mins before the show would start, and the girl next to me asked the shop staff if she could lower the price anymore, but she said this was the lowest they were allowed to go. Then, the girl started crying. She had been standing in the shop all day since this morning, and she only had 20,000yen. One ticket would have been 25,000. So, I said "If we buy them together we can both go." And she started crying even more! (Ok, I admit it, I cried too) I only had 30,000yen in my wallet that I took out of the bank this morning. So, we barely had enough between the two of us. But I couldn't help it, I felt so bad for her, and they were the last tickets left. Anyway, we ran out of the shop to the station and made it to the dome just as the concert started. We were outside when we heard the audience scream and we both yelled "ああああ、 始まった!!!" and made a mad dash for the gate. I don't think I've ever run so fast in my life, lol. When we got in they were in the middle of "Lucky Man", which I think was the first song, so we didn't miss much, but still. At any rate... I used up 3/4ths of my monthly budget in a matter of seconds, aaaaaaah! I need to get a job!

Anyway! I am really terrible at writing con reports and my memory is really bad. But I will make a list of random things that I remember. In no particular order...

Stuff that happened at the concert~! )

Current mood: exhausted
Current music: For some reason "Attack It!" has been stuck in my head since the concert ended

1:38AM - Music Station Superlive~

I was re-watching yesterdays episode of Music Station 'cause I was gonna use Shiina Ringo's crazy amount of keigo-use as an example for my keigo report that's due on Monday (Which I just barely remembered about today *failure*) And there was an announcement about this year's Superlive! (Apparently I missed this announcement when watching it on TV. I think I was in the bathroom, lol. But watching it again, there was also a scrolling announcement on the bottom of the screen during YamaP's section, which I totally missed as well. I guess I was too busy paying attention to him, *failure again* )

Anyway, the point of this rambling is that I decided to apply for tickets to the Super Live~! Last year Arashi was there of course, so maybe this year too? Right? The list of artists will be released the week after next, but the deadline to apply is the 7th, so you have to apply without knowing who's gonna appear. Anyway, it will definitely be a great show no matter what.

If anyone else wants to apply, here's the info~~ The postcard has to arrive by the 7th (it's not the postmark date) and each person can only send in 1 postcard. If you send more than one your entry will be canceled.

11:55PM - New Johnny's shop photos~

Today Canon came down from freezing cold Miyagi-land~!! And we hung out in Harajuku, yay~~!!!

So I used this chance to check out the new Arashi shop photos, lol *failure*

I loved the My Girl PV (and the making, lol), so I loved all the photos as well. It's always so hard to choose~
I don't have a scanner, so I just took some photos, but if you want to see Read more... )

Also! I want to apply to be an extra in GANTZ~! But! You have to have parental permission! (lol) The taping lasts until the middle of the night (5am is the estimation actually), so in order to be an extra you have to be over 20 years old, but on top of that, even though you are an adult you need a written letter of consent/permission from someone in your family, along with emergency contact information! Madness, I say! I have no family in Japan, lol. Anyway, they probably want Japanese people anyway. There is a list of "roles" and you have to fit into one of them in order to apply. One of them is "people in their 20s" which I totally am, but the others are things like OLs and High School Girls, so I'm guessing they are not looking for foreigners.

7:59PM - Next week on VS Arashi......

Gackt!!!!

Ahahaha, he did say he would come back for revenge, lol. This time it looks like he's the "plus one" guest though. That makes it even better! Arashi + Gackt = The Perfect Combination!

Sorry, I was way too excited when I saw the preview for the next episode XD *failure*

Ok, now it's time to study for my 3 midterms that I have tomorrow. There's only 2 hours before Himitsu no Arashi-chan! No time to lose, lol XD

Current mood: way too excited

6:56PM - Meme~!

Stolen from [info]shinkouchou and [info]moecona~<3

Anyone who looks at this entry has to post this meme and their current wallpaper on their LiveJournal.
(Don't you just love how the the meme threatens you~ You have to do it~~~)
Explain in five sentences why you're using that wallpaper!
Don't change your wallpaper before doing this! The point is to see what you had on!

Wallpaper~~! )

And isn't it sad that the meal I just ate was the best tasting I've had in a while, and I bought it ready-made from the supermarket! This is a sure testament to my (lack of) cooking skills xD (Or maybe to the deliciousness of ready-make supermarket food in Japan ;^^)

10:11PM - Random failures~

So, I planned to spend this whole weekend doing homework so I would have more free time during the week (plus I have to prepare for 2 presentations) and yet, what have a been doing all weekend? Nothing~ *failure*

2nd-ly, in order to console myself at the fact that I once again didn't hit for Tokyo Dome tickets (there was a 2nd chance drawing) I started bidding on things on Yahoo Auctions, lol. *failure* I bid for the pamphlet of Strangers on a Train... and I won, yay~ But still, *failure*, lol.

Let's see, what else have a failed at recently... I also planned to clean my room today... and well, you can guess how that turned out.

Anyway, the last 2 times there have been applications to be in the audience of Arashi shows they've had a taping on a holiday that I actually have off from school, so I was able to apply for both, yay~ (Thank you Arashi for working during holidays to give me even the slightest chance of getting to see you~ *failure*) First one I lost (of course) but there's still a chance for the 2nd one (won't know until next month though). And I've applied for something else, which is supposed to be kept secret until it's officially announced so I wont say what it is, but the results for that will be next week, so yay~! So many things to apply for, and yet such a small chance of winning, lol. *failure*

And I guess that's the end of my random failures rant. Now maybe I'll get back to working on those presentations.

Current mood: *failure*

6:30PM - 嵐のファンは本当に幸せもの~☆

Can I even begin to express in words how much I love Arashi! LOL, no really, all I can say is 嵐、大好き!! This past week, being Arashi challenge week, was somehow super exhausting, but in a good way! Not getting any sleep and barely finishing homework is a good price to pay to have a week full of Arashi, don't you think? And I really felt happy that I could support them during this 10th anniversary challenge. It may sound silly, but that's just how much Arashi means to the fans, I think. (Or maybe I'm just crazy, lol).

Anyway, as I mentioned in my last (horribly fangirly) post, along with random FC members getting the special 10th anniversary signboards, 10 people who watched yesterdays Odoroki no Arashi special will also be getting them. You had to send in postcards, and they had to be postmarked today, so I went to the post office during lunch break and sent mine. And I've been giddy about it all day. I know I probably wont win, but I'm still excited just at the prospect of it.

And then, coming home after a long day of school and carrying really heavy grocery bags from the station, I opened my mail box to find... this!! )

10周年本当におめでとうございます!! これからもずっと応援します!!!!

12:39AM - Why, Arashi, why!?!?

I apologize ahead of time for the incredible fangirlyness of this post...

I seriously probably can't fall asleep if I go to bed right now, so I'm posting this instead, lol.

ARASHI!!!!!

Ok, for everyone who was just watching Shukudai-kun you probably know why I am screaming my head off, but for those who haven't watched it yet. Starting last year after the Asia tour Arashi began a project in which they decided to make 5,000 sign boards to send to fans for their 10th anniversary. It took them a whole year! But they made 5,000 of them. On special sign boards designed by Ohno-kun, each with a serial number so that you know they are official. Now, what are they going to do with these boards? THEY ARE GOING TO SEND THEM OUT RANDOMLY TO FANCLUB MEMBERS ON NOVEMBER 3RD!!!!!!!!! Randomly!!! You'll come home and check your mailbox and inside will be one of these sign boards!!!!! I almost had a heart attack during the announcement, and I think I almost cried, lol. *I fail at life* And I know this package will not fit in my mailbox, so if I get one it's gonna be in the Dorm Head's office and I'll have to go there and pick it up. And what will I do. I will probably start crying and hug him, lol! Seriously, I think I'll die if I get one.

Also, they are taking application to go to the taping of the Odoroki no Arashi special on Sunday. When I read the e-mail I also almost died, lol. Of course I applied.... aaaaaaaaaaa!!!! So many near death experiences this week, lol. Let's see if I can survive this week!

7:57PM - Failure~

I just got an e-mail from Johnny's about my refund for the Tokyo Dome tickets.

Aaaa, the realization that I wont get to see Arashi again has finally hit *sigh* Arashi~~!!

I guess getting 14,000yen is nice... but... Arashi~~!!!!!

(Yes, I know this post in pointless and lame, but I just felt the urge to share my sadness)

I'm gonna go to the Dome to buy tour goods (I didn't get Nino's poster at Kokuritsu 'cause I wasn't sure yet if I'd have anywhere to put it in my room) so maybe some kind of miracle will happen and I'll find someone with an extra ticket, lol *here's hoping*

7:21PM - I gave in...

In my sadness of not getting tickets to Arashi in Tokyo Dome, I gave in and went out to buy craploads of House Foods~! Why, you ask? To enter this contest of course~ http://www.house-dream.jp/

Arashi in Disneyland~!!! The deadline to enter is the 30th so I went out and bought stuff today and I will send in my postcards tomorrow. BUT! You can also enter even without buying anything. The prize without buying anything is actually bigger, but much much less people will win. It's 2 tickets to the event, plus a nights stay at the Disneyland hotel, plus passes to the park. But only 25 will win it. But it would be pretty awesome to win, don't you think? So, if anyone wants to enter (and you know, take me with you if you win, lol) here's the link to the entry form...
https://www.house-dream.jp/quiz/application/

And if you wanna enter the bigger raffle too, go out and buy some curry and tongari corn~

11:21PM - 天国で君に会えたら!

めっちゃよかった~~!!!!!!

Ahhh, I have been waiting so long to watch it and finally it aired today! I'm a little bit sad that the giant poster of Nino in my station will probably be gone from tomorrow though, lol...

Edit: I thought I should clarify, this is the giant Nino poster...

I took a picture of it the second I got off the train and saw it, lol. People probably thought I was strange.

Anyway, today in school we were talking about the drama, so we decided to all watch it together on the big screen TV downstairs. The TVs in the rooms are pretty small, and of course who doesn't want to see Nino on a big screen TV, right? It was really nice, but sooo many people kept coming in and out and talking really loudly and stuff, I kept wanting to turn around and shush them! So, I will watch it once more in the privacy of my own room once someone puts it up online, hehe xD
But I have now become friends with one of the Italian girls who moved in the other day through the power of Nino, hehe. She watched the whole drama with us using her 電子辞書 the whole time to try and understand. A couple other people watched parts and then left or came in for a little while and left, but she stayed the whole time because she was really interested even though she couldn't understand the whole thing. I thought that was cool.

Anyway, I am just babbling because I am excited, hehe. But yes, everyone should go watch it. It was excellent. Nino was great, of course. Everyone else was also really good. It was very touching (感動された~~!!) but not horribly sad, which is good 'cause I cry like a baby at sad movies and such. It was more uplifting than depressing, so I was really touched.

Also Nino as a father... adorable!!! (Except my friend kept saying いや、どうしてもパパには見えない~ the whole time and I wanted to say いや、立派なパパでしょう! but didn't want to start a discussion in the middle of watching, lol, I like to concentrate when I watch things)

Canon, I'm soooooo sorry!! I wanted to go see Arashi with you~~~!!!! T-T

I was so excited when I finally got through on the phone, and then.... aaaaaaaah! I'm gonna cry T-T

I know I shouldn't be so selfish since I got to go to Kokuritsu and lots of other people didn't, but I really wanted to go to the dome too. If anyone knows anyone who might have any extra tickets for Tokyo Dome please, please, please let me know~!!!!

11:49PM - My newly revamped shrine to Arashi...

Last Sunday I went to Tokyo to hang out with [info]ktmonkeyj and have a generally awesome time! We went to the Johnny's shop, went to some doll shops (Chen-chen, I thought of you~~!!!), had all-you-can-eat Pizza at Shakey's with some random gaijin who needed help reading the menu (lol), went to Ebisu to take pictures of Ebisu Garden Place (Woo, Hanadan!!), and sang All-Arashi-Karaoke (the best kind of karaoke~~<3<3)!! Anyway, it was an awesome day. And of course since we went to the Johnny's shop I bought some shop photos to add to my room's decor. Today I finally put them up. Seriously my desk has become a shrine to Arashi... lol. And yes, I know that I am horribly lame. But it's OK xD

Anyway, I thought you'd all like to see the new design... but if you don't, don't click on this link... xD
Arashi, Arashi, for dream... )

What do you think? Good? Bad? Arashi-overkill? Not enough Ohmiya? Doubtless there are many different opinions to be had :D
I had one more picture too, but I have some sort of obsession with symmetry so I couldn't find a place to put it. Perhaps I'll come up with something (or buy more photos to even it out xD)

Oh yes, I believe I have also converted one of my dorm-mates into an Arashi fan. We were talking about TV shows and she mentioned seeing an add for Himitsu no Arashi-chan, so I told her what day and what time it was on. Then last night at 10:00 I hear a knock on my door. And there she is!! She was like "Can I watch it with you? You're TV is bigger.", LOL. So we watched together, which is so much more fun than watching things by yourself! And she was still talking about it today, lol. She also asked me when the next Arashi TV show would be. So I wouldn't be surprised if she shows up at my door at 1:00 tomorrow, hehe. Anyway, she now loves Sho because of the way he ate gyu-don, lol. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go watch this week's episode of Himitsu no Arashi-chan, you will not be disappointed xD Spreading Arashi love is so fun :D

9:53PM - Really!?!?

Today after dinner we were hanging out in the dinning room looking at pamphlets for cell phones (some of my friends were debating whether to get AU or Softbank) and Ari-chan, the head of the dorm, came in and started talking to us. Well, there was a picture of SMAP on the cover of the Softbank pamphlet so Ari-chan started asking us things like "Oh, do you like SMAP?" and "Do you know about Johnny's?" To which Yin pointed at me and started laughing so I had to admit my love of Arashi. Then of course he asked me which member I liked and when I answered he was like "Ohhh, good choice! My son looks exactly like Ninomiya-kun!" LOL!!! We all did a double take and then Yin said "You know Meghan doesn't have a boyfriend!", lol. So, embarrassingly the conversation went to everyone telling me that I should date Ari-chan's son, ;^^. Unfortunately, he did not have any pictures so now we are all curious just how much like Nino his son really looks. I just thought it was quite amusing, hehe.

4:21PM - In Japan again~ (Sung to the tune of "on the road again" ;^^)

So, I thought I would write something about what I've been doing now that I'm back living in Japan... but I haven't been doing anything!!

So umm, how about some pictures!
My dorm room! )

Dorm life so far is nice. There's a super market and a conbini really close by, and the station is less than 10 mins walk. And there is of course a 100yen shop by the station for you know, everything you could possibly need (Oh how I love Japan). And an amusing tidbit about my dorm (at least I found it quite amusing). It's a co-ed dorm and also everything is shared (like bathrooms, kitchen, showers) so there's both a girls shower room and a boys shower room of course. The boys shower room is on the first floor, in plain sight of anyone who comes into the dorm, perfectly accessible to pretty much everyone who lives here. The girls shower room is in the basement, lol, with not only a curtain covering the stairs that go down to it, so no one accidentally wanders down there, but also the door has a number lock key pad! LOL xD Am I the only one amused by the reverse-sexism? It's kind of awesome. Not that I'm planning to walk into the boys shower room or anything, but I laughed. Also when they were giving us a tour the guys were made to wait in the lobby while we went down to the basement to see the shower room, hehe.

Then we had a field trip to Fujikyu Highland! I'd never been there so it was really fun. It was also a good chance to meet the other people from the dorm. We all went together by bus and then when we got there we were told to just do whatever we wanted until the time we were supposed to leave. So I was kinda worried I'd end up wandering around by myself, seeing as I didn't know anyone else. But I ended up forming a group with 3 other girls and we hung out all day. Firstly there was a girl who came up to me because she wanted to try out her English (which was pretty good, though in the end now we talk to each other in Japanese mostly), and then the girl who lives in the room right next to her. And lastly on our way in I saw a girl who I had met that morning in the shower room, lol, and she was all by herself so I asked her to join us.

Anyway, here are some pictures~!

11:37PM - Arashi!!!!!!!!!

I don`t know when I`ll be able to use the internet next, so I decided to post about the concert right now, hehe. Seeing as it is immediately after the fact and I`m probably horribly tired and/or jet lagged, this post may be very rambly and/or fangirly. Please forgive me ;^^

Also, I`m really bad at writing concert reports and such, so this is just a jumble of things that I remember happening, in no particular order.

Ok, here goes. First off I just want to say...

嵐のファンでよかった!!!!!

Is there anything happier than being an Arashi fan! (That is a rhetorical question) They really are so sweet to us fans and try so hard to make everyone have a good time. I seriously cried when they were all making their thank you speeches!

And now on to random things...

I realized this is horribly long, so LJ cut for you! )

Thanks for taking the test !

you chose BX - your Enneagram type is NINE (aka "The Mediator")

The rest of the info... )

I don't know about the "ways to get along with me"... I think they're a bit off... I'm pretty much the easiest person in the world to take advantage off, so go at it! I don't mind xD
But actually the rest of it seems pretty spot on.
